Does stress get the better of you?

Sometimes it’s all too easy to let stress take over our lives with work and commitments.

Stress is dangerous for your body as we tend to neglect our health. The hormones cortisol  and adrenaline are  secreted from the adrenal glands  exhausting them, followed by over extension of  your thyroid hormones leading to a myriad of illness other imbalances such as your liver and kidneys not functioning optimally.

Stress induced illnesses include all cardio vascular disease, obesity, especially the abdominal type and diabetes type two. Depression and Chronic fatigue syndrome are other consequences of   continued stress as well as excess estrogen in women and low sperm count in men. Research has shown consistently that oxidative stress is the precursor to many illnesses that are avoidable.

Herbs such as Hypericum act to help balance the nervous system. Taking a good vitamin B complex each day and keeping up your doses of vitamin C all assist in mitigating the stress. Make sure you have good sleep at night and also keep your attitude positive with prioritizing events in your life that reduce stress and help you feel calm and relaxed. Remember that stress is poison to your body.
