its good to eat chicken soup.
Here is a simple recipe that tastes delicious and also is good winter health food.
Chicken soup is excellent food for those who have arthritis or joint pain. Glucosamine is in the jelly of boiled meat, fish and chicken stock.
Chicken soup is also a great pot food to make up one day and eat for the next few days if you are feeling unwell. Make the effort to make a pot of this delicious soup and you just eat it each time you are hungry whilst recovering from any illness.
1. Take an organic whole chicken and place in big soup pot with 2 tablespoons olive oil.
2. Chop up lots of vegetables . Onion , garlic , fennel , carrots , parsnips, turnips, potatoe, leeks, brocoli, spinach, cauliflower etc. What ever vegetables you have in season are perfect.
3. Add the vegetables to the chicken and cover with boiling water.
4. Bring the mix to the boil and then turn down to simmer and allow to simmer for three hours. Top up with a little more water if you think the blend is getting too thick
5. Add 2 stock cubes and 1 tablespoon curry powder to the blend about an hour after it has started cooking.
6. Simmer the blend until al of the chicken meat has fallen away from the bones. This takes between three and four hours. Now scoop out the bones and excess skin and enjoy this healthy winter treat.
Chicken soup is high in minerals , protein and also has a nurturing feel .
Optional extras.
add white wine and cream for a french soup.
Simply add white wine into the blend in the last half hour of simmering. Then right at the end stir in the cream. About 1/2 bottle white wine and 300ml of cream is good for this 1 chicken soup.
Add lemon juice at the end and chop up fresh herbs for another delicious version/
Finally for the chili lovers add coconut cream into the blend in the last half hour and add some chilli or your favorite hot thai herbs and spices.
